Welcome to our April 2007 newsletter
for Joomla Users.

Joomla Newletter
Welcome to our first Joomla newsletter.

Joomla sites have really taken off over the last 12 months. Kiwiwebs have now been involved in the creation of over 80 Joomla sites. Some of these have been small 1 or 2 page sites, while others are large multinational marketing tools.

Regardless of how you use it though, Joomla is constantly changing. The purpose of this new email is to keep you up to date with these changes and to advise of what services Kiwiwebs can offer you.

CD/DVD Production and VHS to DVD
Kiwiwebs has invested in another Bravo duplication system. This latest version of our system provides a greater turnaround speed and improved print quality. If you need your website on a CD, or if you need a multimedia CD or DVD, we provide a total service.

Setting Webmail User Options
if you are using webmail, you need to change the settings so that the return email address comes back to you. By default the account sends any webmail back to Kiwiwebs. To change your settings, when you are in webmail, click on options, go to personal settings and change the reply to address in the default identity to your email address. Please call us and we can do this for you if required.

New Range of Add-ons
Kiwiwebs has recently started rolling out Joomla as its preferred Content Management System (CMS). This has meant we are able to offer affordable and easy to use self-managed web sites to clients who would normally require expensive software and training to be able to make changes to their own site. An added bonus to using the Joomla system is the large range of add-ons and extensions that are available. Currently add-ons Kiwiwebs is installing for clients include e-commerce, online B&B reservation, client management systems and photo galleries. Call us today if you would like to enquire how Kiwiwebs can help you make your site more effective and easier to use.

NEWS UPDATES
Secure Server Issues:
Some components of Joomla struggle to recognise the free secure server address. This is because they are lookling for paths relating to the original domain name. If you are having issues with Joomla and the secure server, contact us to see if we can assist.
Webmail: All Joomla users can still take advantage of webmail. Mail sits on a separate server to HTML and Joomla so choosing a CMS has no impact on mail functions.
E-Commerce: The e-commerce functionality of Virtumart has recently been extended with a range of upgrades. If you are considering selling online, call us for a demonstration of Virtumart.
